Trumpeter DKM Bismarck 1:700

Hi,

attached some pictures of my DKM Bismarck from Trumpeter, it was my first ship build and it was a lot of fun compared to long term projects. The whole ship was build almost during my christmas vacation. The water effect diorama was build with foam and tissues with white glue. I try to make a small tutorial how to make this water and wave effects.
At least some rigging, bow waves with cotton and the planes are missing.

Micro LED

Micro Led´s for modelling or very tiny applications, I ordered some at Ebay from the Seller ledbaron, they are available in different colors and dimensions. This version is already with soldered wires.

Undercarriage legs Bronze from Eduard

Based on the not well molded legs from the kit I took the Brassin set from Eduard, the set consists of a pair of legs and covers. Coloured with RLM 02.

Bf 109 Fuselage II

The built is real fun and the fitting is almost excellent well done Revell. The Cokcpit was assembeled and glued into the fuselage and the rest was done after instruction. The gaps must be filled with putty more pictures will follow.

Bf 109 Fuselage

Cockpit was ready to built in, start with the fuselage, the exhausts are from Quickboost and superb detailed. The MG131 are brass parts. The parts special the cowling parts fit pretty good togetherand at least less putty must be used to close some thin gaps between the parts.

Bf 109 G-14 Cockpit coloured

The cockpit was airbrushed in Dark grey XF-24 as basic color, than a paler shade of grey was used for streaking and spotting points at the panels. The next step was drybrushing high points in lighter grey and painting some detail.
The seat belts are from Eduard also the Cockpit set was from Eduard and the whole cockpit was modified with this photo etched parts, the Quickboost stick is not my case at all I dont like the detail, the Revell stick was modified with a small plastic card and a copper wire, 100% better than the Quickboost., here some pictures enjoy!!
